Terms & Conditions

OUR PROMISE  

Our hire items are thoroughly inspected to an extremely high standard before each event and we pride ourselves on sourcing the most luxurious products. We review our pricing structure on a regular basis and we are confident that we are offering you a competitive package.  

DEFINITIONS  

The following meanings shall apply throughout these terms and conditions; 

"We, our, us" refers to Weddings By Sorella 

“you, your, the hirer" refers to you, the hiring customer. 

“hire items, hired items, items of hire" refers to all items of hire from Weddings By Sorella 

PAYMENT TERMS 

A 50% deposit will be required upon booking to confirm your event date. This deposit withstands a 7 day cooling off period, after this period the deposit becomes non-refundable. Should you wish to cancel after this period please refer to our cancellation policy. 

The remaining balance is due no later than 6 weeks before your event date. 

SECURITY DEPOSIT  

A security deposit of £250 is required when the remaining balance is due to cover any potential loss or damages, if the loss or damage is greater than this amount, Weddings By Sorella will seek to receive compensation to cover the hired item costs. Please ensure you have adequate insurance to cover you. 

Your security deposit will be refunded to you no later than 10 days after your event. 

STANDARD HIRE PERIOD  

The hire period is from set up until collection or approximately 24 hours. 

HIRE OF ITEMS  

As much as we quality check all of our hire items there maybe times where there may be marks, stains or signs of wear and tear. We pride ourselves on delivering the highest standards so we will always endeavour to rectify this efficiently and quickly. 

We hold no liability for any losses or fees you may incur in this instance.  

SET UP & COLLECTION 

The time of set up will need to be confirmed 6 weeks prior to your event, we will endeavour to set up within a timely manor whilst achieving the high standards we deliver. Should your venue use the same room for ceremony and reception, prior arrangements will need to be made regarding the reception set up, we accept no liability for setting up the reception in this instance and prior arrangements will need to be made should you wish us to stay on site to transform your reception room. This will incur a fee subject to availability. No items of hire shall be moved or transferred by anyone without prior arrangement and consent by Weddings By Sorella. Should you choose to have the venue set up please seek our approval at the time of booking. We hold no liability for damages in this instance, and the hirer shall take all responsibility incase of loss or damages. 

DUAL LOCATION 

Wedding ceremonies and receptions will only be catered for within a 25 mile radius of the ceremony location. A further travel fee will be applied in this instance. Please ensure you are satisfied with this upon booking as any cancellations will be subject to our cancellation charges. We accept no liability for any loss or damages in this instance such as but not limited too; lateness, road traffic, failure to set up the reception in a timely manner due to problems out of our control. 

LOSS OR DAMAGE TO HIRED GOODS 

The customer assumes sole and complete responsibility for loss or damage to the hired items from the time the items are set up at the venue or premises and until they are collected. The charge will be for the cost of replacing the damaged or lost items with new stock. A full list of prices can be seen upon request. The hirer will be informed within 5 working days if there is any damage or loss to any of the hired items. Please ensure you have adequate insurance to cover all hired items in this instance.  

EXCESS CLEAN POLICY 

Weddings by Sorella may seek to receive an excess clean fee, at our discretion if we find hired items excessively soiled but not limited to; staining, marks, scratches, candle wax etc.   

CANCELLATION 

If you cancel your booking within the 7 day cooling off period you shall receive a full refund of your deposit, after this time your deposit becomes non refundable. 

The following cancellation charges will apply after the above period; 

Cancellation prior to 16 weeks before your event = loss of deposit 

Cancellation within 16 weeks of your event = 25% of your remaining balance will be due 

Cancellation within 12 weeks of your event = 50% of your remaining balance will be due  

Cancellation within 6 weeks of your event = 100% of your remaining balance will be due  

COVID 19 POLICY 

If for any instance your event cannot take place due to a covid-19 outbreak within your immediate family, lock down or cancellation of weddings by the government we will endeavour to seek to rearrange your event to a later date. Should you choose to postpone your wedding due to number limitations we will endeavour to accommodate your date change, however if this change can not be accommodated the cancellation policy will come into effect.

ADVERSE WEATHER, EXTREME CIRCUMSTANCE, FORCE MAJERE 

We do not accept any responsibility for the use of any of our items that are used outside, prior permission needs to be arranged and seeked at the time of receiving your quote. This includes but does not limit to; aisle runners, luxury silk flower wall, luxury silk flower decor, plinth stands or any of our other items you hire. Should they become damaged, soiled or affected by weather conditions after we have left them we will seek damage costs to replace or repair them. In the event of adverse conditions, it is Weddings By Sorella’s sole discretion to allow use of hired items outside on the day of set up. 

If by any means Weddings By Sorella are unable to fulfil your event styling due to adverse weather, extreme conditions or force majere, we will not be held liable for any costs you may incur. 

CANCELLATION BY US 

If we are unable to fulfil your event styling due to cancellation by us for reasons not stated above, you will be entitled to a full refund. 

TRAVEL FEES  

Travel is included within a 25 mile radius of BN15 9DF. Travel outside of 25 miles will be subject to a £0.45p per mile fee. 

LIABILITY 

In no circumstance shall our liability to you exceed the invoice value of the contract 

Weddings By Sorella and any employees of the company shall not be held liable in respect of but not limited to; loss, damages, injury or other damages incurred in respect of this hire. 

Caution should be used and permission seeked from your venue if you wish to use flame lit candles, Weddings By Sorella will only ever install candles to be used unlit or LED. We accept no responsibility from any damages or injuries occurring from an open flame. 

LAW 

These terms and conditions and any contract formed are governed by English law. 

If for any reason you are unsatisfied with the service you receive please submit your complaint in writing to info@weddingsbysorella.com we will endeavour to respond within 5 working days
